Beacon is the supplier Bankuet uses to manage our donor and supporter records.
On Monday 3 August 2026, Beacon informed us that an unauthorised third party had gained access to their systems using compromised credentials, and that copies of their database backups had been made. Beacon became aware of the incident on 29 July 2026.
Beacon's investigation is ongoing, but the evidence so far indicates those copies were likely downloaded. Beacon has advised all its customers to assume that data held in their accounts has been affected.
This incident happened at Beacon, not at Bankuet. It affects organisations across the charity and tech-for-good sectors who use the same platform.
